So I've been here in Italy for a few weeks now and it has been amazing with all the beautiful art, food etc. But, today I walked all the way to the Church of Santa Spirito ( about a 30 minute walk from my school) to study Brunelleschi's architechture for my Art History class to find that they had changed their hours and were completely closed for the whole day! grrr. I guess its ok though because it was good exercise and it allowed me to explore some areas of Florence I havn't seen yet...

Some friends took me to this great little caffe the other day that is really close to my house. We just sat outside along the street sipping "cioccolatta calda" while talking. I love the whole sidewalk ristorante thing the Italians have going on over here. Also, waiters never push you to finish your meal. You can sit as long as you want. YOU have to ask them for the check!

Well, enough random thoughts for today. I better get back to doing homework...
